LAND provides environmental and sustainability consultancy services at all stages of investments’ lifecycle.
LAND supports investors, developers, industrial enterprises, law firms and leading technical and environmental consultancies. The scope of services includes:
20 years of professional experience gained in more than 300 environmental, social and occupational health and safety projects, which included assessments of greenfield areas as well as chemical plants classified as the upper-tier establishments.
Comprehensive educational background in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development, understanding of client needs and practical know-how gained from close cooperation with clients, technical advisors, law firms and investment advisors.
The environmental site assessments are prepared based on requirements specified by the Regulation of the Minister of Environment of September 1, 2016, on the methods of assessment of land contamination.
The standard scope of work includes the assessment of environmental and historical data. The preliminary investigation with sampling is performed when potential sources of contamination are identified. The next phase of the detailed investigation is executed to delineate the extent of the initially identified contamination. Relevant Polish norms and international standards e.g. PN-ISO 10381-5:2009, PN-ISO 5667-11:2017-10 and ASTM E1527-21 are applied. LAND cooperates with certified laboratories, and Leszek has been performing the environmental site assessments and soil and groundwater investigations since 1999.
LAND provides high-quality consulting services in M&A processes.
Thanks to 20 years of cooperation with financial institutions and industrial clients, LAND prepares first-class environmental due diligence and environmental and social due diligence reports. In 2021-2024, LAND carried out ten EDD assessments in line with ASTM E1527-21 standards (Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessments), along with environmental compliance assessments and conducted ESDD / ESG DD assessments of several dozen photovoltaic farms with a total capacity exceeding 120 MW.
The areas of expertise of LAND include audits carried out to verify compliance with environmental laws. In safety matters, LAND is supported by experienced OHS specialists. The audits are performed in line with the guidelines of multinational enterprises, which verify the environmental performance and practices of their plants operating in Poland.
The compliance audits are recommended also to companies based in Poland, which want to verify and adjust the performance of their plants, to prepare for the inspection of Environmental Authorities, or to companies which want to verify the performance of their suppliers under the implemented ESG principles. The audits are performed with due diligence, based on the knowledge and experience gained in EDD audits and compliance audits carried out in approximately 150 production plants, including 40 audits conducted by LAND.
I have been supporting responsible business conduct for 20 years by performing compliance audits and assessing the materiality of environmental and social aspects in due diligence audits. In response to the requirements of the CSRD directive, LAND supports enterprises in developing sustainability reports based on the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS).
Assessment of the materiality of impacts, financial materiality assessment, development of a list of disclosure requirements, selection of indicators and presentation methods, gap analysis, recognition of the value chain, or verification of the content of the non-financial reports are examples of the support of LAND.
LAND works closely with environmental health and safety managers, facility engineers, assets and project managers providing environmental expert services and troubleshooting services, including:
